Der Kommisar

It’s not very often that cover versions of songs are released at the same time. But in 1983 American college radio stations were playing Falco’s Austrian hit version of Der Kommisar at the same time that top 40 stations were spinning After the Fire’s version of the same song:

Frankly, I always thought Falco’s version was better. What did you think?

I never heard the Falco version before. I think I still like the After the Fire version better.
